I'm told that Myron Kelner-Rogers (Sp?), Meg Wheatley's colleague, did a 500 person future search in a fixed seated auditorium. Maybe he has an idea. I don't know if this really happened or if it is an urban myth. --Kenoli Alas, we have scoured the facility trying to figure something: the st

Susan-- You did not mention the size of the group, or the date of the meeting. In Siberia, we were appalled to find that the meeting room had bolted-down, tiered seats. In that case we made a large, oblong circle which used the first row of seats, then chairs across in front of the stage and aro

Dear Susan in Seattle Yes, once snookered into a blind venue, an auditorium with tiered seating! Yikes. We created the marketplace by calling people down to announce their burning issues and sign the flipchart with what, who and where. It was like a game show and the facilitator was the host.

i have successfully used OST without a circle to open or close. The group was 75 people and seated in rows. Once the marketplace was open they all went to the wall and then to the breakout spaces. i did walk a small circle in front of them to start -- and pass a talking object around the whole room
