Right now there is a "Submit" button if you are either posting a note to a
ticket or sending an email.
Can you make the "Submit" button say "Save", if adding a note, and "Send" if
sending an email?

Should PostMaster.pm v1.40 have been installed by otrs-1.2.2-01.i386.rpm
I've just confirmed my suspicion. the file at
ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/misc/otrs/RPMS/suse/9.x/otrs-1.2.2-01.i386.rpm does
not install v1.2.2-01, it installs v1.1.2. the contents of the RELEASE
file:

Ocassionally it happens that the OTRS login session expires while a
support question is being answered. When clicking on "Send Mail", the
mail is not sent but rather the login screen is presented. After logging
in, the view is at the support ticket, but the written answer is lost
for good.
