You can use SysAdmin GUI in admin area/module. You have to search for Agent
or Customer criteria to disable/enable components on each User agent or
Customer page/modules.

Hello,
Whenever a customer asks to disable them, I just go and comment the lines
on the DTLs where they are called. Since they're not mandatory, commenting
the lines is usually enough.
