So I have system monitoring installed but I cannot get it to acknowledge alerts
on the Nagios side, which I need to be over HTTP.
I have updated the configurations for system monitoring to include the
DynamicField_ addition to the free text fields.
I have updated the regex to capture the
uestions and discussions about OTRS.'

Nothing in the OTRS log. May want to check the otrs' folders for error_logs,
increase logging to get something (think that's LogFile).
Could Nagios server/auth be limited by IP? Firewalling (iptables, etc)?

I'm trying to get my Zenoss alerting working with my OTRS install.
Even though I've tried tailoring the e-mails to my systemmonitoring rules
specifically, I don't seem to be getting the desired results.

You might need to configure the SystemMonitoring module to NOT close the ticket
on OK messages.
Instead you could use a pending auto status so the ticket is closed
automatically in x seconds after receiving the OK messages.
This way you should receive a normal follow up notification
Otrs would only send follow up notifications if the agent has the
queue where the ticket is in in his "My Queues" under preferences, and
enabled follow up notifications in his preferences as well.

I've installed SystemMonitoring to work with receiving inbound tickets
from an external vendors ticketing system. Apparently my regex'ing is so
rusty I'm unable to make this work. So far it's not even identifying
anything as a new ticket since based on what I can see I should be able
to see data in
Can the SystemMonitoring module handle multiple different external
systems? We receive tickets from several different outside
ticketing/trouble systems and I'd like to be able to handle them
automatically. Looking at the SystemMonitoring plugin it appears it can
only handle one outside system?
