Raspberrypi installation. I now have a really clean www directory and
cleaned up the html. The following ftp site has an older image however if
you wait 2 weeks I will post a new image of my www directory

try this :http://www.thereefuge.com.au/board/threads/raspberry-pi-tank-monitor-project.3475/I have included some setup notes on page 2 which shows the owfs install and startup commands. Just connect up to the GPIO I2C pins to the 1wire device and your away. Remember GPIO I2C runs at 3.3 v however
Oh should state memory leak is nothing to do with owfs, it seems a problem
with the serial port and how I am using it to gather information from other

Hi Mick,
Just wondering if the Rpi is reliable over longer periods. I have just set
mine up and worried about memory leaks. What is your greatest up time and
do you also run rrdtools and apache ?
I have I2C 1wire and a couple of serial devices I am communicating to
running the new Rpi Raspbian
Thanks for the update, I may update myself over the next few weeks. Owfs
seems very reliable on this platform with I2C.

Understanding the GPIO is 3.3V do you think it would be hard to get serial

Hi Roberto,
An industrial standard for converting 4-20mA is to use a precision 250 ohm
resistor in series with the circuit. This provides a 1-5VDC voltage drop
across the resistor which is proportional to 4-20mA. 250 ohm resistors are
expensive so I generally use 4 x 1k resistors in parallel.
Hi List,

You cannot connect an RTD sensor to two amplifiers. I would believe the easiest way to connect an RTD to 1 wire is using a RTD transmitter (see ebay). They are about $20.00 and run from 12-24VDC & provide 4-20ma signal proportional to the tempertaure. Placing a 250ohm resistor in series with the

The best thing about RRDTool is it is the database as well as the chart

I thought the counter was used with the "tipping bucket" type of rain detector
that measures rain fall for all weather station applications. I use it
connected to a flow meter that provides 4000 pulses per litre. The flow meter
has an LED with photo detector and I power the LED from the 1wire
