I too have cared for a woman having a homebirth and also being treated with anti-depressants.  She managed very well along the same lines as Jeannie described.  she had two of her four babies at home.  she used the water tub for her labour but birthed out on the bed.  It worked well for her.

Hi Tania,   I have cared for a few women with rheumatoid arthritis who wanted to breastfeed. By urging the rheumatologist to consult Medications and Mother's Milk, Tom Hale, USA, all of the women were able to continue breastfeeding. Symptoms are often exaccerbated in the postnatal period.
