Hi Tania, I have worked in Colac for nearly 6 years
having grown up in the area, moving away (as far as Mareeba!).then back again
when I had my babies.Other than this HUGE problem with lack of surgical
cover at times, usually only on a weekend, it truly is a great little hospital
to work

We in Mareeba have the 1 hour travel, you have 1 1/2 hrs. Should
one be transferring by Amublance you can add nearly another half
hour to that by the time you organise the transfer your end and
they get up to Cairns birth suite the other end.

All Qlf consumers and midwives should be making the
most of the current need of the Beattie govt to get positive news about anything
out of Qld Health !!

should be operational in Townsville by the end of the year. Talks with the
District Director, Ken Whelan,for our region last week were enough to get
our hopes up then we hear
