Well I'll be durned. There weren't slider controls in 3.1. Found the
problem real quick once I had the Rom file. Now I just check the ROM
version and if it's less than 3.5.0, I hide the slider. Problem solved.

Oops, it's a V not a Vx. It worked on his m100. The m100 and V both have a

Is there a way to play a sound in a Palm program
without halting the processor while it plays? I tried
playing the alarm sound, but that gives me a

Make sure these are in segment 1, in this order:
starter.cpp
your CPalmApp class

POLR1 or POLD1.lib
That's how I fixed mine.

Well, I fixed it. Ben, I was able to move the C++
library to segment 4. I'd already moved all extra
code out of the CPalmApp object into a "utilities"
module instead. What made the biggest difference was
moving POLD1 to the bottom of segment 1 instead of the
top. That apparently made the jumps

Jan,
Having never seen a map file before this morning
(never needed to look), I'm no expert, but it doesn't
seem to show any overcrowded segments, assuming 68K is
the limit:
Segment 1 47518 bytes
Segment 2 19768 bytes
Segment 3 16678 bytes
Segment 4 10628 bytes
Segment 5 16786 bytes
Segment 6 298
How can I tell which segment is overcrowded? I was
thinking it's probably the first segment, based on the
error message, but I've taken all my cpp files out of
there & reduced the starterapp.cpp file down as much
as I can.
