You think they charge to much, $.79 a track? I'm not a JFW user, so I am

Steve! If you open the M3U with Notepad or some other text editor
you'll see that it's a list of titles and paths to MP3 files on your

Hi, Steve, a .m3u file is a streaming file, in other words, the file
it's pointing toward is not on your pc, but on another computer, and
you're streaming that file.

Hi Marty. Actually, an m3u file *can* be on your computer, it can be a
regular winamp playlist, in addition to a streaming file. So m3u files can
be for both streaming and local mp3 files on your computer.

Hi.
That is correct; that is a Winamp playlist file. It makes itpossible to
play a group of mp3's automatically on the mp3 player or computer.

Peter! "What you hear" is a Sound Blaster thing and not a Windows
thing. If you don't have a Sound Blaster then you won't have "What you
hear". Do you see something called "Mixer" or "Stereo Mixer"? It's the
same thing.

Thanks for the reply. So...if i have an mp3 file buried three
folders deep on my CD-R, how do I navigate down to it using my boombox

My favorite deck is the Sony MDS-JE640. It has sp and lp mode and one can
set a track marker by just pressing the jogdial while listening to an
md. The deck then goes into rehersal mode, which lets you adjust the
trackmarker, before it is finally set. With newer decks, at least with
