I'd expect that your speakers will not be activated when the USB device is
connected because only one output or playback device would be invoked being
the default one.
Could well be wrong, but that's what I'd suspect.

Designed specifically for that purpose, is Studio Recorder from the American
Printing house for the Blind. If you can afford the $200, or there abouts,
it will serve very well. I am amazed that more blind people in the
community are unaware of the existence of that program.

Hello everyone,
I got a call this weekend, that my Aiwa boombox I ordered was in. So on
Monday I went and picked it up.
It is terrific. I am really glad that I kept looking, and that I sent the
Sony back.
I don't have the bleed in with my NPR station like I did with that Sony, and
I am very happy
I have heard that the recording program
from A P H is only for talking books,
not music.

No, I don't have any knowledge of comprehensive guides for all 3 players.
I've basically installed all 3 and set winamp to play the majority of

I do have some notes on winamp that I will paste below; otherwise, it'

You might check the American Printing Hous's web address, http://www.aph.org
Where you'll see a link on there among several called aph software. It's in

For straight recording and editing, there's no need to spend $400 on Sound

Hi,
Thanks for those great comments.
I do not have external speakers; mine are built into my monitor.
When you say the default is changed to u s b speakers, pardon my
ignorance here: but will that affect my monitor-based speakers?
Many thanksfort hese ttips and Happy Thanksgiving to all.
If you can afford it, you can get Soundforge from Sonypictures.
