Thanks very much for your reply. The only option I have in the volume tab
is a list box which currently shows volume device realtek hd audio output.
There's nothing else to tab to.
Under the device tab, I've set the output to the realtek audio output, and
the recording device to the realtek

Hi,
Try converting it to wav then using goldwave to MP3. It may be your choice
of bitrate that is causing your problem.

The mp3 files it creates are variable bit files. With some playback
software that's a problem. Have it create a .wav file first and use
something else to create a .mp3.

I asked my question yesterday, but no one responded. Let's try it from
another angle. If you edit audio projects in Sound Forge 8.0, what CD
burning program are you using for them.
I was using Nero, but it seems incompattible with projects edited in SF.
When I try to burn such a project in

Hey Larry!
I can burn an audio file that has been edited in Sound Forge 8 using just about
any burning software you can think of.
I have used Nero, CD Architect, Sound Forge itself...
What format do you save your Sound Forge file to?

Allison,
Is there any way to tell sound Taxi to use constant bit rate (cbr) instead
of VBR? That might fix your issue.

I would not convert to wav for an audio book. I have never had the issue
you described converting an audio book with sound taxi given that I use 32
or 64 bit.
Tunes may be a different story.

Well, even if an audio book was a 1 gig protected wma file, (and I don't
think even war and peace would be that huge) the wav file would take up ten
gigs, and I usually have thirty or more free on my local hard drive at any
given time. It converts files to wav extremely quickly. The song only

Are there still soundbanks like that? I'm running a sb live 24 bit card,

better samples for it?

They won't ship electronics to Canada. I found it from a Canadian site
for something like fifty-eight Canadian bucks. That pretty much erases
the price advantage of the zen Stone.

Larry,
In addition to saving files in dot wav format, do you save them

Hey Larry!
I was going to ask the same question because that's about the only thing that

I like Sound Taxi but became concerned when I found that I could not totally
