Hi
This is a question I am often asked. At the moment, there are some
compatibility difficulties between jaws 7.10 and beyond with iTunes 7. I
have asked Freedom Scientific for assistance with this, and I hope they are
investigating it. But until that problem is resolved the iTunes project i

Just go to tools, arrow down to burn cd, enter on that, assuming that you
already have a CD in your burning drive, hit the space bar, start the
process, then, when it tells you that it is finished, go back, open it up
again, enter on the burn CD tab, then arrow down to the close tab and hit

Has any one had problem ripping the audio from Disney movies? When I select
the chapter and click next I get a message stating that I need to select a

Hi Kenneth. If I might ask a question that will doubtlessly seem ridiculous
to long time sound forge users, where might I find Sound Forge's CD burner?
It was my impression that CD Architect was added to the package because
Sound Forge had no burner. Guess I guessed wrong. If someone could steer
One way around this is to convert to MP3 using Sound Taxi and then
transferring the MP3 file. You could also burn each part to an audio CD
and then rip the CD to an MP3 file.

That was an older version. I had something similar happen to my laptop, but
luckily a system restore worked. They've since fixed the issue. I installed
it on the same laptop with no mishaps.

Hello Brian. I just got a laptop for christmas running Media Center adition,
and I installed iTunes 7 on it, and I just got jfw 8.0, but the problem is
the scripts for iTunes 7 seem to only work with jfw 7. Are you going to be
making the scripts for jfw 8 to work with iTunes 7? Thanks, Sky.
OK I'll look into it probably tomorrow, thanks for the feedback.

Has anyone ran sound taxi against wma files received from the Overdrive web

Hello, list,
I have recently begun downloading and listening to Overdrive books
through my local talking book library. I was under the impression
that the 2 week check out time limit did not apply to placing a book
on a player with a WMA DRM license. However, I have found that the

Well, I'm using 2.0x, no problem this time around, although apparently, not
as accessible, so it seems, using jaws 7.

Hello, I am having a problem with Winamp. I sent this email before but got no
response. When I open a file and winamp is not already open, it tries to open.
However, it takes about one to two minutes to load up and in about half way,
when I try to do something, Window Eyes starts to say what it
Hi Brian,
So far the scripts work as advertised. Great job.
If I may suggest two features:
1) A key combo to read the progress of the conversion. Right now one need
to root jaws to pc and arrow to the status line.
2) A similar script to display the files cued for conversion.
That's all I can
The version I tried was 1.1.2 so if your version was 1.7, it was a lot newer
than mine and it sure seems like they did not fix that issue then. The
funny thing is that it only seemed to affect certain sound chips, while
being totally trouble free on others.
I'm really not sure what the difference
Hey thanks Brian!
I'll give them a work out and report back to you with my comments...Keith

You do need Soundtaxi if you want to burn Netlibrary books because WMP
doesn't split a large file up into CD unit sizes, but an Overdrive audio
book is split up into individual parts that will each fit on a CD.

Hi Folks:
I am trying to understand what all of the excitement is about concerning the
Sound Taxi program Since one can import and convert most audio files using
GoldWave, including Audible, an in a fraction of the time. Am I missing
something here?
Cheers.

Hi
I have created some basic scripts for the Sound Taxi program recently being
discussed on this list. The scripts can be freely downloaded from

I can only guarantee them working with Jaws V8 at the moment.
They contain the
