Well the m-audio delta car i have is a great one.
Though you can't record streaming audio with my card unless you use total
recorder.

Other considerations aside, make sure to buy a Delta card that has a break
out box.
I bought the Delta 1010LT which comes with a bunch of break out cables
rather than a break out box. They are about 6 inches long and hang off the

breakout box, or lead, terminating in a number of phono plugs - or could be
sockets - and the only way to access the SPDIF input/output facility of the
card is via these leads.

Quite right, M Audio soundcards tend to have phono standard jack or maybe
even XLR on some models.
Still, wouldn't be surprised if they have started doing 3.5mm interfacing as
this fits in with the vast majority of PC interfaces. I'd suggest looking
around their site.
