I will never forget, though, an article I read some time ago about a study done in Britain. In it, they got together a bunch of die-hard audiofiles. They used the highes-end equipment, they used the same speakers and other equipment for all the tests, but they played music from CD and from vinyl.

It's the new Lame encoder. Saving files to WAV is as fast as ever but if I save to mp3 it takes at least twice as long as it used to. Wish there was a way to go back to the earlier Lame encoder but the new Goldwave won't recognize it and it asks you to get the new one. B B Roger Keith
