Hi Larry.
Glad you got your issue resolved with Winamp. If you ever encounter this
problem again, first, see if the playlist editor has focus. If it does, hit
CTRL+TAB to get to another Winamp window, then hit ALT+E to close the
playlist editor. ALT+W toggles the Winamp main window.

Good. Well denny huff from the old blind computing list taught me how to use
winamp for play lists. That is the play list editor. And if you google short

You're using Windows 7, do you know what version of Windows 7 you're using?
If you're using Windows 7 Premium and above then you can use the built-in
Windows Media Center tool, its quite accessible with Window-Eyes.

All very much depends on what sort of hardware you're running, the Direct TV
box may have a USB socket in which case a cable is run between the computer and
the box.
I take it that by Direct TV we're referring to some sort of cable or
satellite box right?

Hmm, upgrading Windows 7? I don't know how you're going to go about doing that
now given that Windows 8 has been available for the last 8 months or so.

I had a whole bunch of stuff on this. But my hard drive on which I did is

You connect the PC to a TV tooner card instead of a TV. In other words, for
this, think of your PC as a TV. You all need a TV tooner for this.

Yeah, that's the thing. We'll just have to see if he means home basic, or
Home Premium. If he means Basic, then you're right. If it's Premium, then he
has it and all he needs do after connecting the TV box to the toner, is hit
ALT Windows Inter In other words, we're lacking some info here..
