Hi, Yes, it must. I was able to record programs I was watching and then able to read the titles of what had been taped so that I could click on which ever one I wanted to watch. What I haven't yet figured out how to do, is set up to tape a program. I know it does that, but I don't know how.

Hi, Yes, it works with my Comcast cable box. There was a cord that came with the Adapt Tech that ended with a special end that went on the front of the cable box. That is how my keyboard commands were able to affect the cable box. You'll want to have your coaxial cable going in to your comput
