by one, and joining them through the clipboard. brian.

Some versions of Sound Forge have an append checkbox in the open dialog. If
you have that option, check it and
each file you open will be appended.

Hi Gang:
I have a large audio book as an MP3 file which I would like to split in to
chapters. Is it possible, using SoundForge, to automatically insert queue
points bassed on a given time of silence between chapters. Although this is
possible with Goldwave, GoldWave has other issues.
Thanks

Ok, well that's completely up to you of course but I prefer to set

can sometimes cause problems,.

Jim! You can tell Sound Forge to make regions delimited by silence. I
haven't done it in a very long time. Perhaps play with Tools, Auto Region.

Hello, use the extract options from the file menu, with letter E as the
shortcut key. Go through the box and check the one that says put regions in
the file, and let it extract the whole cd into a file. Then you can work
with it until it's where you want it, and then make cd's from the modified
Hi all. I have registered the Noise Reduction of Soundforge. Before that,
I've copied some CD's, but have the excess noise. Is there a way to take the
noise out of those with Soundforge? I went to drive D to play the CD with the
noise I want to get rid of. I usually find it on my local

sounded like it was too high pitched from what I remembered of Bob Hope, even back in

either pitch shift or bend, but what

Hi Andrea
In SF 7 if you press return on the extract audio from cd, then shift back a
few you should come to a dialogue box called drive. There you should find a
listing of any drives you have. Select the one you want and press return.
That should do it.
