I see on the net .pdf which I can convert to text. Perhaps there is a version
somewhere that is converted and formatted ideally for reading with speech.

When you're scrubbing you hear the file playing at a faster or slower
speed than it was recorded at. As if you put your reel to reel tape
recorder in neutral and turned the reels by hand listening for a particular
spot in the recording. The audio you hear is continuos with no skipping.

Hi, I'm recording a cd with a friend that sings italian songs, for personal
satisfaction.
I'am a Jaws 6.10 user (italian version) and for recording I use sound forge 6.
I've incided the voice, but when I try to mix it with the music the result is
that first the song is ok, and
down, it will do
the same thing if the recording's long enough.
Is that scrubbing?
Thanks. Hope this helps.

I'm not entirely familiar with what the Snowman's scripts allow you in
Sound Forge. I'm not a big JAWS user. The scripts do allow scrubbing or
scrubbing after a fashion. Sound Forge 8.0 has hot keys built-in for
scrubbing however.

I did and I am sorry. It does not work any better than six and it requires
you to install the Microsoft .net software which I believe is an unwanted
intrusion.

The Sound forge upgrade now is $159 or I'm within $10. Sound Forge
also includes CD Architect built-in and a built-in Batch Converter. I'd get
it just for the scrubbing feature.

As the subject line asks, is the upgrade from Sound Forge 6 to 8 worth
doing? Does the answer change if one is or is not using the Snowman
scripts? What is the cost to upgrade?
Thanks.
