They'd have much better luck with VLC Media player. It's free, at videolan.org
VLC has all the codeks to play dvd and it is Jaws friendly to boot.

and it reverted back to version 10.

with mine not playing dvd's and cd's, but real one player will play when I
log onto blind radio, but wmp doesn't play on blind radio, but it plays
dvd's and cd's
