Yes, there's a lot to be said for what you're saying, I guess its a
matter of trial and error to see what you're happy with.
Capturing noise prints doesn't always work though, for some recordings
(such as comedy or live recordings) it can make an absolute mess of
the thing.

Assuming you are using GW V5.57 and not the beta V6, the keystroke is
control with q but be aware, you must put a cue mark in at the very start of
the file before any otheres else GW won't see any cue points, afterall, it
needs to know where track 001 is to begin.

Delayed recording will only record when a sound source is present. So, if
you are recording from a cassette it pauses the recording when the tape
ends.
