Tim, You could end the task in task manager. control-alt-delete should bring up the task manager, use the tab key to get to the applications tab, then find the application totalrec.exe or what ever it is called, then end task. Shouldn't need to do this, but it will unload total rec. Joe --

I'm running total recorder on a windows xp machine with window-eyes 8.4. The problem i'm having is that when I try closing the program it doesn't completely close and sits on the task bar. if i try going to it on the task bar and using a shift plus function key 10 to close it it won't close.

Kevin, Are you using software speech? If so, you have to realize that the stream is one sound source and the total recorder driver essentially acts as the second one. If you were able to use JAWS speech while running Total Recorder through Eloquence or whatever your software speech, you would
