Well I shot a picture with a film grained Fuji slide film with my Pentax
camera, tripod, and FA* glass, and got a nice Ilfochrome made from it, then
I a picture with my Barbiecam from a moving car and printed it out on my

OH in the early 80's. All of it was with my 50/1.4 and available
light. I was more than pleased with the results. I relied mostly with
the camera's meter. I don't remember if I used my K-1000 or MX. I

walking around taking photos. Of course I had to peruse the photo section,
talk about old books! I found an interesting small photo book with a
Honeywell Pentax on the cover.

it shouldn't be too tough to fix if what Alan Chan says about the dirty
contact is true.
I sure hope that's the case. My self timer ceased functioning many years ago
on my Super Program of nearly 18 years vintage. I also had the film counter
fail to reset when the camera was new but got that
Except for the FA 28-70/4 AL, probably among the best of the 'standard' 28-70 out
there..Also, the F 28-80 is also a good lens as well. I've never used the F

Anyone else come across this book?
I have the fifth edition featuring the Spotmatic and have been
through it a couple of times. It's encouraging (for us manual

It's only paranoia when you just think they're out to get you. In your case,
they real are out to get you.

What do you usually use a 50mm for? It seems too long
for a nice landscape and too short for a portrait. I
would love to get the lens (been rated too well to
ignore it) but I really don't know how useful it can
be. It would be nice if other readers could contribute
what they would use a
