A photo I took in Petoskey Michigan while on my tour of family members

Took it with my MZ-5n and the SMCF 35-135 F3.5-4.5 I bought to take on

Early in the movie Stewart uses a 4 x 5 Speed Graphic. Later on he switches
to a Exakta with a telephoto lens.

Yeah, I've been getting posts out of order lately. One of mine from Thursday
just popped up. And one that I sent this morning, still hasn't. Of course, it

The lacking of a digital SLR is the best example of the critical situation.

my idea about nothing REALLY new to be shown at Photokina is general.

Ok, let's play: since I don't really believe in a flagship, MZ-3/5n is due for a
replacement model with fancy flash related features like high speed sync
and wireless control plus support for USM focusing and IS with new FAII
lens series. They might also add RGB metering or SAFOX VIII with cro
Pentax holds all it's international distributors by the ears, I think. That

Keith,
I understand most of what you are saying, but generally, with computers,
once they cannot be upgraded, they DO become obsolete. Let me tell you why.
I could be using WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS on a 286 IBM computer (which I have

I retract my earlier adamant stance on this topic :-)
My apologies as I was always under the impression that the item had been

Don't be too hasty, David. Pentax has dissappointed us in the past, and there
is still no clear sign they will do differently this time. They seem far too
comfortable with small, cheap compacts, both film and digital.
