Butch, in the formula I just sent, be aware that the formula returns the
value of the character whose number is 1 less than the row number - take out
the minus 1 and the two will correspond - just makes it a little easier to
make sense of it!

I know you are required, as a member of the Canon Believers, to
disparage all things Pentax, but you missed the point. You compared the
price of the Canon body to the Pentax body AND LENS, then complained
that the Pentax body cost more than the Canon body. I was merely
curious about the price
My apologies.
I retract my statement regarding the pricing as I missed the and from
Pat's original email.
If this is the case - the cost of the Pentax should be adequately
competitive.
I'll await it's arrival and see how it fares against the Canons and Nikons.

Sorry, the *istD is supposed to come with the new FAJ 18-35. Peter over in
England has already posted prices and photos of that lens. Yes, the lens is
pretty much a consumer zoom, but it is way, way cheaper than the
competition. Doug's comment ment that to compare them you would have to add
that
Ha, this could lead to a series of off-beat jokes.
However, seriously, I doubt any radiation level that is safe to have in your
body is likely to be a problem, except maybe with the most sensitive films.
You may remember that the SMC 50/1,4 Takumar is somewhat radioactive too.
Ciao,

There are some folks here that I would love to run some medical
experiments on with that lens.

the camera has a limited amount of time to do the interpolation. doing it on the
computer has much more time, it can do better. how much better depends on who you talk
to.

i have no idea where WW gets the idea the lake is 3000 meters deep. most of the lake
is a result of the Hugh Keenlyside Dam which i watched being built and it's well less
than 100 meters tall. the lake essentially didn't exist before the dam was built.

frank,
LX seems to be a fairly popular phrase to be used by companies for
products. I can't rattle off a list right now (brain is half-dead), but
I know I've seen cars and various other things with descriptors of LX.
I think they think it stands for luxury.

Bill,
The radiation emmited from the seeds will not likely be effected by
a lens. Lenes are designed to shape the path of light, not other forms
of radiation.
Maybe just sit in the darkroom with a sheet or two of photographic
paper around your belly and back for 20 min . . .
Also allows for some logistical synchronization in the global
distribution channel(s) --- where needed.

It has been my experience that major competitors -- to the extent they
are interested -- have knowledge of competitive product specs long
before they are released to the general public.

Your statement sounded to me just like that Canon ad in Pop Photo. The
Canon ad is marketing drivel.
Perhaps you need to learn how to read more intelligently than to relate
everything to marketing pap.
