I like the new one a little better. It doesn't seem quite as
contrasty, but provides a little more detail. Looking at the crop
issue, I'm thinking it is about right where it is. Any more and you
start to create a different picture. This shot really grows on you.

I'm not sure how many of you watch TV series from the perspective of
photography, but I'd noticed that CSI NY has very photographic approach
to the camera work. All closeups are portrait-like shots.

frame their shots, and also pay attention to lighting.
Your subject references movies, but your message is about TV ... generally,
lighting and framing are less creative and interesting with TV images, imo.

Any film camera is not a future purchase at this point in time. The
MX is a wonderful camera, reminds me a lot of the Nikon FM I used for
20 years, but it's not something for which to consider a future.
That said, if you enjoy working with film, stock up on your favorite
emulsions and go

At least in the Pentax, if you know the items you need to use are
near the bottom you just press the up arrow after the menu button...
