Hi Barry, I've found that behaviour to be typical of my *istD with some battery sets. When I put newly-recharged batteries in the camera, I never care of what the battery indicator says. A purely random indication will be as much useful. After some use of the battery set, the indication approach

You are absolutely correct. there is no decernable "memory effect" with NiMH batteries. There is decernable loss of capacity (and therefore life) with continued use. Internal resistance builds up. This was quite a problem with NiCds, but they could be reconditioned. All geostationary spacecr
