Personally, if I were going to get heavily into IR work again, I'd hunt up a Sony DSC-F717 or DSC-F828 and have at it. It makes a great IR camera ... just fit a Wratten type 87c or 89a IR-pass filter and a deep green Hoya filter to cut the ISO down to a reasonable level, and have at it in N

Mark, FWIW, I find the D1 and the istD giving me good images at decent shutter and Ap speeds. My experiments with the K10D and D200 yield very long exposure times and slight poorer results. The istD is a bit better than the D1. A lot of people on the nikond1 dot net BB have converted D70's and D10

Pentax Benelux isn't allowed to modify the camera. I'm also out of options. The website with instructions for modding a Ds lacks the last part. The removed filter is damaged after removal.
