That's right. The K-7, K-5 and K-3 all share the same model grip. However, it would be nice if there were room for two spare SD cards in the grip since the K-3 has two card slots. I tend to set my K-3 to write to both cards (to have a backup) instead of filling the cards in sequence. Yonnie On

PS: The dark spot is likely just some dust on your screen. You should be able to blow it off. Dust on the mirror generally doesn't show up so much. If there is dust trapped behind your focusing screen you can pull it out carefully with some tweezers and blow the dust out. It just sits in a metal
