I hosted a photo party here yesterday. There were four people that I

various areas in my yard for their own stuff.
Today, I'm going through and processing the selections from those

Thanks, Dave. And thanks to everyone else who commented and looked.
Days like that make me feel lucky that I can commute by bike along such a
scenic route (although the lakeside portion of my commute is about one out of
the ten miles).

I have a clip-on rear fender that's of some limited use; it stops the water/mud
stripe up my back. Doesn't keep my shoes or pants dry though.
Fortunately I have a dry set of clothes at the office for such occasions. If I
need to stay dry on rainy days I just don't take my bike.

We visited Taunton last month because the Somerset County Archive is there, and
it had some 17th century letters that my wife (a historian) was interested in.
Otherwise Taunton doesn't have much to make it a destination.
The Ring of Bells, though, is a superb pub: nice people, great atmosphere,
I'd butter not contribute, or I'll be all churned up at bedtime.

Imposing edifice! The second image shows a wealth of architectural
detail - some damaged, some not. I'm guessing the building could be a
trove of interesting architectural bits.

That's a terrific photo and a great scenic with an awesome starburst.
But I wouldn't want to ride a bicycle without a mud & dust guard - not
with folks laughing at the muck on my trousers and shirt.
