Paul, its obvious either one is very good.
Its more a question of which one you like and how it compares to the
conditions under which it was captured.
Having seen the non warm version first, I'd prefer that over the warmer
version - either way very good work !

A quick phone call to the place I bought it from got that sorted out
quickly and said they'd ship the memory right out. Then they called

The warmer version is a real improvement.
What surprises me about this pic is the range of motion in the bird's
neck. It almost looks as though her head was installed backwards.

I was trying to find a list of all the various Samyang lenses, to see if
they made an inexpensive wideish macro and found this website:
http://allphotolenses.com/lenses/brands/c_21/d_.html
It doesn't seem to go into tremendous detail on each lens, but it still
looks very handy.

I have no affiliation with this seller, but thought that this lens
might be of interest to the macro shooters here, particularly since it
is a PK/A lens:

Unfortunately I wasn't able to include the torrent of bicyclists passing the

Comments appreciated.

I've been using a Kiwi FC1 focusing rail for my stacked macros. It looks
like the one that Bill linked to. Mine cost about $80. I bought it form
the local camera store, which gave me the chance to check it out before
buying. There are tons of rails out there that look the same or very
similar

So I accidentally got my R220 to print an 8 1/2" x 19" last night- but
have not been able to replicate it. I'm printing from

Cool shot knarF, but I hate any image with Jane Fonda in it.

Great shot, Knarf! Wonderful composition, great colors, and a quietly amusing

Yeah, I think I'm in accord with Ken. They're each wonderful renditions - I
certainly can't say that one's "better" but I prefer the cooler shot. Probably
because it's the one I saw first.

I still have a copy of PSE10 on my machine. If you would e-mail me a

That's a typical challenge with the "serial" methods of nanolithography:
you can "draw"/fabricate structures on a very small scale (~10 nm), but
covering a large area with those structures is {difficult, expensive,
lengthy, ... }.
But this snippet reminded me of an old joke from my theater
Great shot - super detail!

Fiddling with the Cardinal pics from this weekend. Here’s the same shot I
posted with a shite balance change. She was in the shade, and I hadn’t
originally fooled with the white balance that AWB rendered. I usually add
warmth in those situations, although there’s no good neutral color in frame
Like this version somewhat better, Paul.
Here I go again; can you estimate how far you "MAY"
have been from her?
Thanks,
