If you have the PZ-1 , and not the PZ-1p, the metering button on the back
shall enable you to choose between multi-segment and spot OR centre weight.
The selection of spot or centre is done through Pentax function, dont know
which number, but I think its one of the first. All FA, F, and A(?) lense
it is 1/250 when you synch at opening curtain (normal), if you synch at
closing curtain it is 1/125, if you use contrast flash program, it is 1/60.

If this information is correct, it might seem like Pentax have problems with
implementing exact electronic control of Aperture. This can be a design
problem with the KAF2/FA mount, how the camera exchange aperture information
between lens and body. If so, Pentax decided to leave out electronically
Congratulations Pål!!
I am very pleased to hear that the camera is silent! Also, I hope the
viewfinder is better for us using glasses. I suppose the MZ-Sn will support
focal length in the dataimprinting...
Pål, can you tell us what functionality this "green button" has. Can you put
the camera in
As from what I know: none! Only Medium format 645N has this capability.

Hi
On the japanese website you can now download the MZ-S catalog (11 pages) on
PDF format. Unfortunately, only in Japanese language. Interesting though is
an actual picture of the data imprinting on film, very clever done (page 6)!
Hope the english version will turn up soon.

On question three, just be aware of, when using the exposure compensation
system (on the back of the camera), this will, as normal is, change the
cameras "knowledge" about the film ISO speed. As a result, both ambient
light and flash illumination are reduced or increased respectively. The only

Ed,
Could you try to figure out how to run Av mode with the aperture on
A-setting. And, see if there are on-the-body flash compemsation through the
use of the flash button at the cameras front left side (just where it is
positioned on the other MZ cameras). And yes, the Hold switch puzzles me...
Tom,
You have so far not answered: how noisy is it? The shutter, the motor (I
mean winder...)?
What about AF accuracy and responsiveness: is it hunting? Did you try it
with other lens than 24-90? The hunting gets more problematic as focal
length increases.
Did you say you managed to get it into

Most important, PZ1p has dedicated flash exposure compensation, which PZ1
does not have, nor (it seems!) the MZ-S...

Matjaz,
About flash compensation: Did you test the flash button on the camera front
left side (same type of button as other MZ-cameras). Perhaps this button has
some additional features compared to its low-cost MZ-cameras? But, the
specification list did not mention this feature (although this li
