an obsolete sensor
aperture ring use is of course
completely doomed since DA lenses (including DA*) do not have the said
aperture ring.
My 2 cents...

It's an excellent lens

what they do. It seems Hoya is strongly behind Pentax. If it confirms,
we should see a stronger Pentax than ever before. Time will tell.

Not officially at least.
It is clear that Pentax would get electronic component easier but
there was never a mention of sensors. Of course reading between the
lines, many people thought sensors but that was never stated.

Oh and the DA55 SDM is officially F/1.4, I'm not sure it was written

Yeah, 35mmSDM f/1.4 would be nice but IMO it will for sure be a dual

Again, someone on DPR certifies the DA70 is perfectly useable on 24x36 body.
Can anybody confirm this ?

AFAIK the Metz flash permits that all exposure settings are uploaded
to the flash automaticaly and the flash will still do computer mode.
However my 40MZ2 + SCA 3701 is unreliable on a ist-D.

It is dangerous IMO because it means some area of the photo show a
whole lot more noise than others (not related to bad exposure). I
don't like that at all IMO.
