I know this is a bit old now, but can anyone help me find the location
for camera profiles in Mac OS X? I've searched but to no avail.
Thanks a million.

They go in
~Library/Application Support/Adobe/Camera Raw/Settings/
(The ~ takes you to the user-specific Library folder, not the system-
wide library folder.)
but in all honesty these .xmp calibrations cause some very odd
conversion results in Camera Raw v3.6 with K10D files on my system.
I too find the Camera Raw defaults are certainly close enough to work
with. In tonality, exposure, and temperature, I prefer to make my own
decisions.

I do, but for ACR2.4. I know there is at least one other PDMLer that
has profiles and maybe even for 3.6 (if you ask nicely :-)

Dave,
Credit goes to Rob for making the profiles. I just updated them to
work with ACR 3.6
Great many thanks to you and even greater many thanks to Rob. Where do I
put the contents of the archive?
Thanks.

Anyone know if these profiles work with Lightroom, and if they do
where they would go in a Windows system?

From what I've read on the Adobe Labs LR forum I don't think they will.

I haven't had any problems working with K10D RAW/DNG files in Lightroom.
Camera Raw profiles are not compatible to the best of my knowledge.

Hi!
First of, indeed my K10D has this banding. It appears if you push (make
brighter) the image all the way up. It is very similar to what I had on

On the other hand I have a question. I shoot DNGs with AWB setting.
Images come out just right with just
Download the latest camera RAW plugin from adobe, I had the same problem
with the K100D.

it won't change things a yota, because current (latest) Camera Raw
plugin, version 3.6, does not support K10D (directly) and one has to use
DNG files. The issue that Boris is seeing is
Yes, update your system setup to Camera Raw v3.6. Although the
numbers are mostly irrelevant, it seems to put the adjustments into a
better range for adjustability purposes.
I also run the RAW/DNG files from the K10D through DNG Converter
v3.6, to save space on disk, and do my conversions
Mine is the same, but as the images look right, I'm not too bothered.

I haven't stressed the K10D on night shots as yet, but I have did
some photos at ISO 800 and ISO 1600 of Christmas In The Park, an
annual San Jose festival with lots of glarey holiday ornaments and
such. If I crank down on the images with Levels adjustment to the
tune of about 3 stops
