Yes that's the question. I've been doing an internet search to try to come to a determination. I have a number of K and A class zoom lenses and the K20 manual gives the recommendation that /will/ give the best possible results, which is to set the focal length adjustment in the camera to the

I wouldn't turn shake reduction off. That is a poor option. I have mis-identified lenses (using a 300mm and calling it a 540mm (1.7x)). Results were a little wierd, universally a little unsharp/blurred. I suspect identifying a lens at XXX mm's will also affect focus corrections, if any. Regards,

Like William Robb, I've always input the shortest FL. Sometimes, if I find I'm going to spend a while shooting at the longest FL of the zoom, I'll change the SR FL to that value, but otherwise, it's just the shortest.
