Remote Cord A plugs into the battery case's socket when it's attached to the
motor, and has a release switch at the user end. Power Cord A connects the
separated battery case and the motor, the shutter is fired using the
vertical
release button that is part of the battery case. They are differen

Paul,
I would start with Super Program/Super A or younger cameras. The ME's and ME Super's
don't use the A cable release. I don't know abou

Lon,
There is a ni
The B&H photo shows a long plunger-looking doohickey, like the adapter that
you might use to inflate a basketball with a tire pump. I assume it makes
electrical contact with a switch, maybe a solenoid.
If it worked, wouldn't an electronic release shave a couple tenths of a
second off response
This cable A stuff has me confused. I've used a standard
mechanical plunger successfully with my Supers for quite as while;
the shutter button has the standard thread and the plunger certainly
trips the shutter. How would a specialized electronic cable even
work?

Quite possible. My mistake. I sold my cable some time ago and haven't used

Great. I canceled my back order three hours ago! Oh, well, I should
probably wait till I'm working again, next month. B&H claims to have them
in stock.
Boz, please clarify the Cable Switch A compatibility on your site.

Steve,
I'm aware that the Cable Switch A is not for winders. I avoided the Winder
Remote Cord, designed for the MEII winder, because both I use my winders

No. That's Cable Switch F.
