Your ad says that if the locking pin sticks, the camera and flash have to be sent to Pentax. In truth, the base of the flash can be unscrewed from the upper portion and the pin can be extracted. Also note that the pin doesn't actually stick, but the mechanism that raises it can break. Because

To be honest, I don't remember. I do know that I got the procedure from an internet search, so I'm sure the directions will be easy to find. As Stenquist suggested in his email, I believe it involved unscrewing the base of the flash, and just removing the pin. By the way (Stenquist)... the
