More and more often they don't have true viewfinders at all.
The picture in LCD is not the one that could be used for evaluating the
scene.
Electronic viewfinder (EVF), IMNHO, is the most useless invention of (at
least) last 10 years... I CANNOT focus to subjects, that I don't see
clearly.

Hi,
I just got Pentax Auto110 set (alu suitcase) and had a little fun wit

already available.
Exactly.
The Optio S series is pretty damned small; fits in a can of Altoids
and all. Much smaller would present ergonomic problems

so what advantage would that give? TTL viewing? digicams kinda have that.
lenses? i doubt there would be any exotic ones, that zoom wouldn't cover.
nah, not worth it.

That's a design issue, not an inherent advantage of SLR's (In fact SLR's
are laggy compared to rangefinders or TLR's). The better Prosumer
cameras are approaching the slower SLR's in lag now.

Yea, but their viewfinders are still crappy...

Because of live preview, when you want to take a shot the sensor has to
clear itself and get ready to go. On a poor specimen this introduces
a delay equivalent to manual focus when you forget which way to turn the
lens. The

Sure, there's no particular use for it, I wanted it just for my little

I would like one. I like my Auto 110. I wish I could get bw film. My
