I think it's already been pointed out that there are no official tethering solutions for the K-5. I believe that the last K mount that had an official tethering solution was the K20D. The Pentax photo assistant software that worked with the *ist-D also worked with the Ds and DL though I don'

You can do the same thing with the PC/AV output. The cable came with your camera. At the community college where I usually teach, the projectors are mounted on the ceiling. So I don't have direct access to the projector. Every instructors desk has a VCR, DVD player or an Elmo overhead projector

I have a cable, approx 15 ft long, that has a mini hdmi connection at one end (fits into k-5), and an hdmi connection at the other, which I plug directly into an Optoma HD projector. You could also connect to a television, or computer monitor with hdmi-inputs. (Sadly, I can't connect to my macboo

if thats the right term. Does it exist for the k-R AND mac. I see that there is a program for PC. Reason i ask is that at our club meetings, the Pres, hooks up his Canon to the PC and takes the sample shots to show on the screen what effect he is trying to teach. I may have to do the odd lesson
