K-5 metering is definitely very good. The autofocus seems better than the K7. I was able to shoot Grace in light that required f2.8 @ 1/15th at 6400 ISO. It locked in fairly easily. Immediately on some shots. And after a second or so on others. I have no cameras other than Pentax. to compare
