The *ist-D had a Sony sensor. The MZ-D prototype was the only pre-Sony
sensor Pentax camera AFAIK.
I think you forgot what happens when you ASSUME. ;-D

At least she has the camera for it to go with. After going missing after I
bought it,

Only $1500? You got a deal! I'm pretty s

You know, it wasn't till I typed up that list that I realized how many

I don't think that's right Darren, one of the knocks on the K20D was
that the K200D had much better low light performance based on it's
supposed Sony sensor.
The APS-C sensor in the K20D and K-7 were the first large imaging
sensors made by Samsung,(which was CMOS BTW), while the K200D basicall

K200D inherited the Sony CCD from the K10D. The K20D was the first
with a Samsung sensor, and IIRC the K7 was the last. Before and after
that it was Sony.

Yes, there were Pentax DSLRs with Samsung sensors, but most of them
have been Sony, including the *ist D (Pentax's first DSLR). So the
phrase "pre-Sony sensor days" doesn't

I think you're a little off there a non-Sony sensor would be K20D/K-7
everything else that Pentax built as far as DSLRs had Sony sensors. B&H
has the same types of deals and on the "standard kit" type lenses, and
the same base price on the Black K-50, most of the color combinations

If you are still using a Pentax from the pre-Sony sensor days, here is
a no-brainer.
First a K-50 with a free AF-200FG flash for $349.95.
But here's what makes it irresistable:
Add a DA 50mm f1.8 for $19.95 and a DA 35mm f2.4 for $84.95
Used K-50s are bringing $250-279.
Amazon's best prices:
K-50.
