I have just been enlisted in a project to write a book documenting the last 40
years of work of the organization for which I used to work. So I dug into the
back corner of my storage locker and retrieved five boxes of personal books,
files, reports, etc. that I had packed up on my retirement 3.5
One of the best bits of enablement I've received recently was a slim
book by Neil van Niekerk, Direction & Quality of Light: Your Key to
Better Portrait Photography Anywhere.
What makes this book unique and so much more useful than hundreds of
gear-oriented books is that it starts from the positio

I did my poetry and photo books (text and photos, natch) in MS word and
then the file was uploaded
to lulu... there was a funciton there to turn it into a PDF file for
publication
I think it worked really well
The print quality of SIGNS GONE BY was not as good as the other tw

Apple's website, under support and then discussions, there is a lot of
information on the books. Most people are very impressed with them.
But, i think they have to be done carefully to achieve top-notch
