Ah well... I decided to not renew my pro account last September, and I
haven't missed it at all. I don't really do much with "the
community" there, I just used it as a place to park photos that I
wanted to share with specific people like the PDML. Or family
who aren't on fb. (you know, old

This may also be a case of be careful what you wish for. There was a
general Internet cry of "Fix Flickr!" last July when Marissa was hired
as CEO.
So she has. But she assumed a different interpretation of fix.

Didn't the CEO of Yahoo announce they weren't going to fuck up Tumbler?
I guess they had to do something to sublimate the urge.

Supposedly, all your pictures will be visible. Some people are
reporting that there is still a 300MB monthly upload limit. If that
is true, you'd never be able to take advantage of all the space
(unless you have 277 years left to live).

Boris,
So, with the free account, the space is up, but I am not if the number of
photos shown is up as well.

recent ones).

it seems the whole thing is significantly faster.
I've paid for pro account in April... I wonder if I can get Flickr to
return me the money and revert to free account. Probably not. But as

Great, now Flickr looks just like G+ and 500px. If I wanted that
layout, I'd already be there. For the first time in 8 years, I'm
really thinking about finding a new home for my pictures. The
community isn't enough to deal with the layout.
