Anyway, I ended up with one or two that I like:

I used the 60-250, and cropped pretty heavily... I think the image
held up ok, considering... what do you think?
Made me giggle.
A robin family built a nest in a bush right outside our back door,
practically on top of the driveway. I have been watching mama robin
do her thing for about a week... every time I'd check on her, she'd
be dutifully sitting on her nest. Then, a couple of days ago, I
peeked, and she wasn't there.
It's the ugly duckling! :-)
The second one is my pref - nicely done - sharp, appealing, cute

Aren't they homely!? Just freakish, really.
Thanks, Ann!

Really! You mean I missed the shoving part, then? Darn!
I hope that is the case, though... I see adult robins in the yard
(same ones? who knows...), foraging for worms flying them off...

First one is a definite A. Second a little too much obscures.
You know since the first is a real winner, if it was me, I'd simply clone
out (with nest material) the out of focus branch that detracts from the
baby's head. Or, at least, I'd try. Might be difficult.

They give me the heeby-jeebies. When I was about 14 I had a paper round and in
the early morning during springtime I used to see all over the floor dead baby

Thanks, Marnie.
I agree with you - the second is pretty cluttered, but it was the best
angle I got on all 4 of them. And, I did attempt to clone out the
near, blurry branch... but it is tricky. Decided to burn it in a bit
for now, maybe I'll take another shot at cloning...

Excellent, Christine!
I like the first shot best. Great detail. That 60-250 is impressively
sharp, isn't it?
