Thanks for the comments. Just one small clarification, it's ocean, not a
river. The bay is part of Lyttelton Harbour which was naturally formed from an
extinct volcano. Our city's port is on the opposite side of the harbour from
where I was standing (I'd actually ridden via there).
Oh yes an
Nice light and cloud line in the sky with a good sense of depth with the
haze the builds up in more distant areas. The flow of the river, shape
of the left show and the boats heading in generally the same direction
gives it a sense of movement and focus. Make me want to head out into
the harbor
OK this time it's me getting nostalgic.
I had a training ride today which involved quite a lot of riding around the
harbour. One extent of the route was Purau which is a peaceful little bay just
past the town of Diamond Harbour. I sat there and ate a sandwich while
remembering the family day-
