Sadly, I could only realize its strengths after killing it.

Bipin,
Thank you for sharing your experience and advice.
My inks are declared to be pigment type and understand that
this might have something to do with my problem.
I think I will be looking for different papers first.
While refilling, I will certainly consider non-Epson ones as well.

I vaguely remember that instructions for some inkjet photo printer or photo
papers suggested to let the prints dry for 24 hours.
With R2880, I am also spoiled, and not waiting for long, if at all.

There used to be hot-air and infrared dryers for RC photo paper in the
days of analog photography.
One example would be the Kaiser 4022 (3ßx40 cm).
Hello Bulent and other Friends with a similar problem.
I bought some photo paper in Dubai in bulk and pretty cheap. Using a
Canon Pixma MG6470 AIO Printer I had the same problem with the Black
Ink taking longer to dry. It would smudge and spoil the entire print.
This Printer uses two kinds of
I used to have an Epson Stylus Photo Inkjet Printer (Probably R2880)
which was using Ultrachrome K3 ink set. The print quality, even on
common garden papers, was above my expectations and I had no problems
ever when it was operational. Due entirely to my long neglect,
clogging problem killed that
Does Atlex.com still have the best prices for printer inks and paper? I
need a full set of inks for my Epson 2200 and need to find the lowest
possible price.
Thanks,
John

I believe so. I ordered from them a couple weeks back, and was happy.
Thus far, they're the best I've found from a reliable vendor.

Those of you in the US who buy Epson ink on-line - where have you found
the best price/service?

Sometimes Office Max beats them when they send you one of their $ 10
off coupons. You can take back your empty ink
The Office Max, et al, stores here in Central FL quit taking the Epson
cartridges. Say that the refills they use them for are high return for
defects.
Those coupons/cards are great however and make the effective price very
good.
I ordered some cartridges from atlex today for my R1800 and R220.
I haven't found an Office Max in the Milwaukee area that stocks the R800
cartridges but they do (so far) continue to take back any printer
cartridge for either a free ream of paper or $3 off any purchase greater
that $3. I usually save them to use with the $10 discount cards - I've
gotten 3

I have an Epson R320 which I really like. Print quality is very nice.
It's time once again to buy ink. So far we've been buying the Epson
ink cartridges (6 in all) and have been pleased with them. We
primarily use 8x10 Epson Premium Luster paper for the stuff we want to
hang, and whatever 4x6
