I've been thinking about it lately, been wanting to do embedded stuff since about 20 years ago and never quite got around to it. I did some dabbling with DSP stuff at work several years ago which was interesting and I've had projects since then which would have been much simpler with a micro.

I bought one a few weeks ago and did some basic stuff with it, but have put it down and not picked it up again because things are too busy. I ran into a problem with some of the colour-coded components in that I'm colourblind, and don't know what's what! When I get the time I will build a solar win
