HI Bruce - Thanks for looking. All shots are hand held with a monopod
and flash on a DIY bracket. I do wish that Pentax would allow anti-shake
to work when flash is used - a bit of fill flash does not freeze the
subject and the anti-shake would be nice...

To give a serious answer it's usually easy. Dragonflies seem to like to
perch in a particular place, scare it away, and if you wait quietly long
enough they usually come back.
