I was in Soda Springs, CA (near Lake Tahoe) at a friend of mine's
(he's telecommuting from the mountains, lucky bastard--in the winter
he goes out to ski during his lunch break)
Got to see just two or three small streaks close to midnight. Stayed
up until about 1:30, but it was partly cloudy and
It was cloudy in North Texas also. I drove out to the country anyway,
to a fairly dark sky spot I had researched earlier. No luck with the
clouds clearing out. I only saw two streaks - nothing I could
photograph.
I had one interesting experience. I was at a lake, standing a bit away

It is positively balmy for November at 65-70 degrees F.
This is at least 20 degrees F higher than average.
But, along with the warm air has come moisture and fog.
There was no sky visible here last night, only fog below the street lights.

Depends where you are: in Brisbane, 2;30 am Monday morning is the suggested
time.
I hope it's better than three years ago - got up at 3:30 and saw more
satellites than meteors! But I'll give it another go...

MArkham at kennedy and 14th AVE. The football field is
high enough that it is the least light poluted spot
