At first I didn't thin that this missing AF point was bit deal, but having used the camera a bit, there have been times when I wished it was there. I don' tthink it has anything to do with the Latin vs Nippon alphabet. My guess is that it has to do with how the active AF sensor is displayed in

Are you talking about with or without a vertical grip? Although not the only way the book correct way to shoot vertical is to have the shutter button on top which is the same orientation as it would have with a vertical grip. Several cameras I know of can tell the orientation such that one of the
