I got thrown into this type of photography last year...
it was hairy at best but it certainly taught me a lot.
Here's what I learned:
"standard" shots are basic. Most of the time the bride and groom already
have it in their head what they want and who they want in their "standard"
photos. If not
the book.

JCO recommended getting a book, and I agree. Steve Sint's book is very
good.

Stick with what you know. I can forsee a thousand disasters all at once if
you were to walk in there with a camera that you've never used before.

Read all of this and then come back and read some more of your
answers. I hope you've got at least a month or two to get
ready. It's not an easy job.

S
n, but under wedding and reception
conditions, you will find it darned hard to focus at f/4 or
smaller. See the link in my previous email for lots of other
stuff.

Sent: Tuesday,
My advice(and I'm not a pro):
1) Buy good film.
I suggest Kodak Portra 160 NC, Fuji NPS(160), Fuji NPH(400), Fuji
Reala(100), Kodak TriX Pan(400)and Ilford HP5(400).
2) Use the equipment that you know.
3) Use a good film processor/printer.
4) You need a flash other than RTF.
Get one
